Lvli007的MacBook到了，酷睿2 T7200。我的测试癖又发作了。
其实现在的处理器已经足够应付办公级的工作了，于是我很关心数字媒体的处理性能。
于是我从这里找到了这个，修改制成通用二进制程序，在他的MacBook和我的PowerBook上同时跑。结果呢，傅立叶变换和内积还说的过去，卷积方面则简直不是一个数量级别的——T7200 6.4亿指令/秒的均值对7447A 114亿指令/秒的均值。我还没有测试970MP。这个问题很久以前就在邮件列表上讨论过，见这里。
我想起苹果电脑以前那些广告。他们用PowerPC的时候就吹PowerPC快，用Intel了就说Intel好。这些广告其实同那些苹果迷所广为耻笑的微软的疯狂广告是没区别的。
我一直很奇怪那些苹果迷是怎么想的。苹果电脑公司之所以称『公司』，因其本质系商人。而我国有句老话，无商不奸。

Lvli007's MacBook is arrived with a Core 2 Duo T7200. Then I forced myself to make a benchmark on it.
The contemporary CPUs are fast enough to have office works done, so what I cared is the performance of digital media processing.
Then I found something here and made this a Universal Binary with minor changes. Running on both his MacBook and my PowerBook, the result shows T7200 is not bad on Fast Fourier Transform and Dot Product, but on Convolution… T7200's 0.64 GFlops average versus 7447A's 11.4 GFlops average. I didn't have this done on a 970MP. Of course it's not only me who finds this out, there's an old mail in mail list here.
This remainds me those advertisements of Apple computers. They said PowerPC is faster when they use PowerPC, and it's Intel now. This is nothing difference than those crazy advertisements of Microsoft products, which lots of Apple Fans have laught at.
I've been surprised that there're so many Apple Fans for a long while. Apple Computer Inc. is called incorporated, as they're merchants. There's a Chinese idiom, Every merchant is liar.
